FIRST CROFTON SCHOOL
Built in 1905 as a one room wooden building, the school was located at 1658 Roberts Street, Crofton. The first teacher Mr. Rhynois Offerhaus, died three months after the school opened. Miss Olive Randle taught the remainder of that first school year. The school closed in 1950. The building was later moved to the eastern end of Joan Street where it now serves as the Crofton Museum.
